The I AM cheerleaders!!!

October is a special month here on the I AM blog! It's a chance to take a stand against cancer and make a difference! And why not do it in your favorite pair of shoes!?

For each photo of SHOES that YOU submit (1 photo per reader) these wonderful women run businesses have pledged a certain amount of money to be donated to Stand Up 2 Cancer.

I am so grateful for these women who stepped in and wanted to be part of this opportunity!

Octobers theme and opportunity

I am excited to announce Octobers theme and the exciting way you can be involved!
Since October is breast cancer awareness month, I am giving YOU, my readers, a special opportunity to "take a stand" against cancer (all types). When we take a stand - why not do it in our favorite pair of shoes!

Now - here's the REALLY exciting part! 

I am looking for sponsors to pledge a certain amount per photo that is posted in the month of October (see level options below). I will be limiting the number of sponsors accepted for better exposure.  

Sponsors will receive advertising on the I AM blog and also my design/sewing/craft blog - Brassy Apple. The I AM blog is only 6 months old and doesn't get as much traffic as my other blog. I am hoping to give sponsors exposure but also looking for sponsors who love the purpose behind the I AM blog and want to be involved in this opportunity.

The levels of sponsorship are as follows:

PLATINUM (2 -3 spots): $1.00 per photo (top billing spot for your button I AM blog/ sidebar on BRASSY APPLE)

GOLD (2 spots) : $0.75 per photo (top spots on the sidebar I AM blog/ sidebar on BRASSY APPLE)

SILVER (1 spot) : $0.50 per photo (bottom spot on the sidebar - below GOLD sponsor I AM blog/ sidebar on BRASSY APPLE)

Readers will only be allowed to submit 1 photo for the month. Thus encouraging your best photo and more participation from everyone to raise funds to donate to cancer research.

"When I saw the theme for September was Learning, I knew I wanted to share what I am attempting to learn.  After years of just about every sort of abuse a girl can experience, I started to blog and decided to share my story with other women.  The response was something I was not prepared for.  I got emails from all over the world from women who had been through similar incidents.  Some women had never told anyone what had happen to them but felt like hearing that they were not alone helped them decided to confront their own issues in one way or another.  I heard many stories and got lots of support and appreciation for having the courage to say I went through something awful, but that does not and will not define the woman I become.  Those women inspired me and so I decided to go to school at the age of 41 to get a degree and get into a career where I can somehow help other women to find and regain the self worth that each woman or girl  loses when they go through something so personal and painful. 

I am June.

I am a survivor and a victim advocate.

I am going to school to learn how to turn something awful into something that inspires others.

I am a student now in my first year of college who is finally learning more than just life lessons.

For September I would love to see what you are learning. Since September is usually associated with Back to School and education I think it's a great topic. We are never to old to learn new things right? :) 

So what are you learning to do, or learning about?

Are you learning to cook? Or getting back to a schedule?
